Customer Reviews: 0 of 1 found this review helpful: I wouldn't recommend it, 2008-04-29 I bought this product hoping to keep quiet a loud-barking dog in my apartment building, but it has done nothing. The dog keeps barking as loudly and annoyingly as ever even if I press the only button in the device for at least 15 seconds, pointing it in the direction where the dog is. I have to say that the dog I bought it for was behind a closed door, so I gave the device the benefit of the doubt, but then I tried it on 4 other dogs directly in front of me (as close as 4 feet from me), and none gave any signs on even noticing the device was activated. I couldn't see signs that the sound disturbs them. I wouldn't recommend anyone to waste their money on this dazer. 0 of 1 found this review helpful: DOES NOT WORK, 2008-04-29 The item doesn't work after replacing the battery and I emailed the company explaining my situation and asked about their refund policy. Never got an answer. Plus been chased by a dog while running when I had the Dazer. Now I changed my route, wish I could get a refund. 0 of 0 found this review helpful: Works on Cats Too..., 2008-04-28 I bought the Dazer after a scary incident in a dog park, but I recently discovered that it also works well at keeping my cat off of the kitchen countertop. She used to jump down when she knew I could see her, but I couldn't keep her off when I was away. After about three zaps with the dazer, she avoids it like the plague whether I'm there or not. It also works well against dogs, of course. When I'm in the dog park, I carry the Dazer as a first line of defense. I also carry Halt-spray just in case the Dazer fails to do the trick, but so far the Dazer has worked so well that I haven't needed to use it. The dogs actually shut up!, 2008-04-23 With barking dogs all around our house, I've been at the end of my rope with them. I've reported them to the city and the owners still don't care to take care of the problem. My only option left is to take them to court which at this point I prefer not to do since I have to live next door to them. One night about two weeks ago they were barking outside our basement window, 3 little yippers. I found this device, saw the reviews and thought for around 30 bucks I'm not really losing much. If anything it would be a good training device for my own dog. Received it a few days later and was very excited to get the dogs outside barking at me. Well they did and when I aimed the Dazer at them from about 20 feet, they stopped barking, cocked their heads to the side and ran inside their home. It works every time. They absolutely stop barking. Our neighbor with a fairly quiet dog stopped by today. He asked if our painters threw something at his dog because the dog came running to the door whining with her tail between her legs. My wife said she might have picked up the sound of the Dazer. I tried it out on that dog tonight and in a moment she was whining and running to the door. Get one and try it out. I have 3 dogs ages 2, 6 and 11 years old. It really only worked on one of them, the 6 year old. Still looking for the magic answer to stop the barking.
